An Announcement

Rich and Reid are excited to share the news that our law practices have merged under the name of “Capital Technology Law Group.” And Steve Rosenman is now “Of Counsel” to the firm.

The new name reflects a broad focus, not just on sophisticated intellectual property matters, but a wider range of strategic legal services for technology-based companies and organizations. We provide on-demand support for projects involving corporate governance, litigation assessment and avoidance, freedom to operate, licensing and joint development agreements, patent management and the like.

Together, Reid and Rich have legal expertise in a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, focused in the life sciences fields, including biotechnology, consumer products, diagnostics, genomics, medical devices, personalized medicine, pharmaceuticals, software, and vaccines. We have substantial experience in technology transfer and complex transactions, intellectual property, patent enforcement matters, such as ANDA litigation and IPR proceedings in the Patent Office, and in managing legal departments and outside counsel. We each currently serve as the “virtual” IP counsel for small clients and have supported large and small firms, startups and not-for-profits, both in the US and in other countries.

Rich and Reid met over 20 years ago as partners building a full service, full technology IP capability at a leading national, general practice firm. We’ve supported each other on various matters over the years for our respective life sciences clients. Our client base is complementary and we both manage the same patent firms for our clients’ day to day patent prosecution needs. Our collective experience as outside counsel and in-house general counsel give us clear insight into our client’s legal needs and for managing legal risks.

Please give either of us a call if you have any questions or want to chat about this transition or specific legal needs.

And best wishes for a healthy and productive 2019!
